Throughout your explorations you will eventually realize that Misfortune's life isn't all sunshine and rainbows, as you find out that her family is quite dysfunctional. The game is all wrapped up in neat cartoonish graphics, but on closer inspection you'll probably notice things that are extremely mature, sad and rarely seen in children's cartoons. The Voice also plays as the narrator of the entire story, sometimes breaking the fourth wall to talk directly to you to ask your opinion about things. You never actually know what exactly the prize is until the very end, other than it is called "Eternal Happiness" and Misfortune want's to win it for her mother anyway. You play as a young girl named Misfortune who is guided by an unknown voice to embark on an adventure.
One such game is Little Misfortune, and adventure game with some exploration and puzzle-solving elements thrown into the mix for good measure, all while serving a much larger and intricate plot that will trigger some feelings inside any of you. We are talking about those games that push you to go further and further and progress to the next mission just for the sake of finding out what happens next to your beloved character. That are games out there that may not get high grades for their graphics or gameplay, but overcompensate with a story that would otherwise deserve eight out of five stars.
